Welcome to my website. This site provides a virtual space for me to share my thoughts, music and spiritual insight.

About Matthew

Originally from Durban, South Africa, I moved to Cape Town in 2012 to pursue my tertiary studies. I have since graduated with a BMus degree (Jazz Performance) and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education from the University of Cape Town. I currently work as a Music Educator. I reside in Cape Town with my beautiful wife, Lauren, and our sons, Levi and Caleb.

Growing up in a spiritually-grounded home, I have become increasingly aware of the Person, Principles and Purposes of God. Under the leadership my Dad, Randolph Barnwell, I have developed a deep love for the Word of God and have grown to operate in the grace gift of Teacher in the Body of Christ.

What is the Word of God? 

It is important that we all become students of the Word. However, before looking at Bible study tools and resources, we first need to ensure that we understand what exactly the Word of God is.
